Breaker Available to a Show Home

Evensong's Break Away, "Breaker," is available as a show prospect to a show home. Breaker is sired by our Ch. Vinnie and Ch. Grace. He is currently 10 weeks old. His estimated grown weight at 10 weeks puts him at 5 1/2 pounds at maturity. Breaker has nice bone, a short back, nice tail set, and very pleasing head type. Inquiries are welcome. evensongpoms@verizon.net

Specialty Fun!

The Columbia Pomeranian Club, which I'm the secretary of, held its annual specialty show on the 13th and 14th, followed by two days of all breed shows. The turn-out was great! There were at least four top ten ranked Poms competing for best of breed. I believe the total entry was over 60 Poms with about 16 specials competing for breed. What fun, and congratulations to everyone that won!

Our kids did well but no big wins. Reagan returned to the ring after an injury sidelined him for a while this year. He's going through his summer shed so could use more coat to do really well. He didn't place on Thursday, was third on Friday, was second on Saturday, and won the bred-by class on Sunday. He pretty much moved up a placement each day. He was a little unsure of himself to start out, but he finished the weekend very nicely.

Mouse, our blue and tan puppy girl, was fourth in her class on Thursday. She won her class on Friday and went reserve to a five point major under judge Mrs. Peggy Hogg. That was a nice placement for the Mouse, and it was nice to have a judge not look at her color. Instead she said that Mouse almost took the win, it was that close. She also said that Mouse was very well put together and will finish her championship. Mouse placed second in her class over the next two days.

It was really nice getting to meet some of the new people that flew in for the shows, and it was great chatting with old friends.

New Champion Ronald

Here is Ronald's finishing picture from the show in Montana. Thanks again to Mr. David M. Krogh for the five point major that finished his championship.
